HUNTED FROM ABOVE
Airborne AI introduces aircraft that patrol the skies and hunt players from above.
When an aircraft flies within 1 km of a player, a warning message is triggered — giving players a brief window to take cover. If the aircraft gets closer and has line of sight, the player is "spotted," and a squad of AI paratroopers is deployed. These AI will parachute to the ground, track to the player’s last known position, and begin a search.


NEW FEATURES

[*]Refactored how parachuting physics work. Much floatier now and paratroopers will drift with ingame wind.
[*]Aircraft can be configured to loiter above spotted players and harass the player while the paratroopers move in.
[*]Aircraft can shoot at players with mounted machine guns if configured.
[*]AI can now be injured by aircraft MG fire
[*]Aircraft MG fire accuracy is adjustable.
[*]This mod now includes an anti-air missile launcher that server owners can include to let their players fight back. Aircraft can be shot down.
[*]Mod includes a tracking optic. When installed on the launcher it converts the missiles to seeker missiles. Works on aircraft and player helis/cars/boats. Optic has visual and audible lock on cues
[*]Improved missile launch effects
[*]Combat log timer so players cant duck out on AI
[*]Player vehicles will sound an alarm for the driver when they are being tracked by missiles
[*]When aircraft crash it creates a crash site. Server owners can spawn aircraft crew AI at these crash sites. The crew can be configured to be alive, dead, or on fire running in circles and screaming until they die.
[*]This mod now includes an aircraft flight recorder black box that can be spawned at crash sites. Server owners can work these black boxes into their quests or market to reward players for collecting them.
[*]Server owners can configure loot spawns at crash sites complete with attachments.
[*]Missile explosions and aircraft crashes can knock down trees and bushes

Additional important features:

[*] Compatible with any map
[*] Aircraft can be heard from a long distance
[*] AI may make mistakes — not always a perfect drop!
[*] AI can fire weapons while parachuting
[*] Players can avoid detection by hiding indoors, behind objects, or in thick trees
[*] Any AI loadout can be used. This mod will automatically equip paratrooper AI with parachutes
[*] After a drop, aircraft re-arm and are ready for another drop in 60 seconds
[*] Adjustable AI behavior modes:

[*] Land and hold position
[*] Land, move to spotted location, and hold
[*] Land, move to spotted location, and begin patrolling 8 random waypoints
[*] Land, move to spotted area, and begin a indefinite patrol around the spotted area. Loops, never ends

[*] Launch the server once — this will generate a config file at: `profiles/AirborneAI/`
[*] Refer to the config explanation for detailed explanations of all config options

FAQ

[*] Yes you need Expansion. AI at minimum. I recommend Bundle
[*] Yes you need Admirals Parachute Mod
[*] If your paratroopers fall to fast ensure your config is valid. Some servers may need to adjust aiFallSpeedMultiplier
[*] If your paratroopers are walking underwater - That is not this mod... Its the map you're using
[*] Paratroopers will not jump over deep water or steep slopes
[*] Zens Immersive Login Mod is not compatible with this mod. Zens causes AI to glitch for a few seconds after spawning and interferes with paratrooper behavior.
[*] ADS aiming in first person with the launcher is wonky. I know and will try to fix at some point.
