🚁 BS Patrol Helicopter - Apache AH-64D

Looking to add a real endgame threat to your DayZ server? BS Patrol Event introduces a fully dynamic Apache AH-64D that patrols the map, engages players with advanced combat tactics, and yields highly contested crash sites with realistic physics, AI defenders, and custom loot.

✨ Key Features

[*]Advanced Combat AI: This isn't just a helicopter flying in circles. When attacked, it evaluates the threat level and switches between 4 dynamic tactical states: Orbit, Pull Back, U-Turn, and Attack Run.
[*]Realistic Crash Physics: No more magical mid-air explosions. When its health reaches zero, the Apache suffers mechanical failure, goes into a violent spin, and freefalls. Depending on its speed and angle, it will bounce or skid across the terrain before the final explosion.
[*]Lethal Weapon Systems: Equipped with a predictive-aiming turret, rocket pods (with double-shot chances when the heli is heavily damaged), and flare countermeasures.
[*]Blind Suppression Fire: If players shoot the helicopter from the woods and it loses Line of Sight, it will initiate a blind rocket barrage on the general area the damage came from.
[*]Dynamic Crash Sites: Upon crashing, it snaps nearby trees, damages players caught in the blast radius, and spawns burning loot crates that players must wait to cool down before opening.
[*]AI Defenders: Configure vanilla zombies or Expansion AI bots to guard the wreckage.
[*]Map Markers & Multilingual: Fully integrated with Expansion and LBMaster map markers. Built-in stringtables for multiple languages.

⚙️ JSON Configuration Guide
Upon first launch, a BS_HeliConfig.json file will be generated in your profiles/BS_PatrolEvent/ folder. The mod is 100% customizable. Here is what each block does:

1. EventSettings (General Event Rules)

[*]EnableEvent: Toggles the entire event on/off.
[*]MinPlayersToStart: Minimum online players required for the heli to spawn.
[*]SpawnTime / RespawnTime: Time (in minutes) for the initial spawn and subsequent respawns after a crash or despawn.
[*]CrateBurningTime: How long (in seconds) the loot crates stay on fire and locked.
[*]WreckDespawnTime: Time (in minutes) before the crash site cleans itself up (0 = persists until restart).


2. HelicopterSettings (Heli Behavior & Routing)

[*]HelicopterClassName: The vehicle class (default: BS_AH64D_Apache).
[*]HelicopterHealth: Custom max health. Set to 0 to use the mod's default config health.
[*]AggroWhilePatrolling: If true, the heli will actively engage players it spots during its patrol, even if they haven't shot first.
[*]PatrolAggroRange / PatrolAggroPursue: Detection radius in meters. If "Pursue" is true, it will abandon its patrol route to hunt the player down.
[*]SpawnPosition & PatrolPositions: The exact X/Y/Z coordinates for the initial spawn and the waypoints it will travel between.


3. Notifications (Server Alerts)

[*]EnableSpawnNotification / EnableCrashNotification / EnableDespawnNotification: Toggle global server UI alerts for each event phase.
[*]Icons & TitleKeys: Customize the UI icon and string references for local translations.


4. CrashDefenders (Wreckage Guards)

[*]EnableDefenders: Toggles NPCs guarding the crash site.
[*]DespawnRadius / DespawnCheckInterval: Cleans up the AI to save server performance if no players are within this radius for the set interval.
[*]Defenders: An array where you configure the enemy classes, amounts, night-time extra spawns, and Expansion AI specifics (Faction, Loadout, Unlimited Ammo, etc.).


5. Difficulty (Combat Tuning)
This is the core of the AI. Adjust everything from:

[*]Turret: Fire cooldowns, max range, accuracy chance, and burst sizes.
[*]Missiles: Speed, acceleration, cooldowns, and the angle threshold to fire.
[*]Combat Flight: Tweak the exact speeds and altitudes for Orbiting, Pulling Back, and Attack Runs.
[*]Suppression: How much damage it needs to take while blinded to trigger a rocket barrage, and how long that barrage lasts.


6. LootCategories & LootCrates (Rewards)

[*]LootCategories: Create "pools" of loot (e.g., Weapons, Medical, Ammo) defining min/max items to spawn. You can spawn weapons with magazines and sights already attached.
[*]LootCrates: Define the actual crates dropped at the crash site. Mix and match categories per crate, or use LB_Preset strings (LBPresetName) if you use LBMaster's advanced loot system.
