Companion mod to Vehicle Inventory Unlocked
What it is:
Trunk Loadouts is a tiny DayZ mod, zero config and works out of the box.
What it does:
With only a few small cargo size exceptions (drysack) vanilla DayZ doesn't allow to store filled containers (clothing, backpacks, barrels) in cars. This makes inventory management very cumbersome, right?
TL allows you to store filled containers of different classes in your vehicle's cargo.
Have differently equipped backpacks ready as different loadouts - for fast deployment.
Or just use it to move all your stuff fast.
For now the following are allowed:
- clothing class
- container_base class
- backpacks
- hippacks
- belts
- wooden crates
- sea chests
- firstaidkits
- protector cases
- ammo boxes
- closed barrels
Please note:
TL patches vehicle inventory rules only! Meaning you can store a fully equipped plate carrier in your car, but not inside any other container. This is by design.
It also doesn't mess with core economy persistence.
If you are looking for a mod that allows nested storage of filled containers in all sorts of containers (including but not only cars) Storage Unlocked might do it for you.
Please chose which you'd like to use. Don't use both.
How to install:
This mod needs to run both: client- and serverside!
Client:
Subscribe to this workshop item to download the mod files. Then move the @TrunkLoadouts folder to your DayZ game directory. Make sure to add -mod=@TrunkLoadouts to the startup parameters of the game client.
Server:
Copy the @TrunkLoadouts folder to the root of your server. Make sure to copy the .bikey file into your server's keys folder. Add -mod=@TrunkLoadouts (not -servermod) to the parameters of your server's startup script.
